The gist of the article though was that a large amount of disease can be contributed to pH imbalances. Blood should be between 7.35 to 7.45 (alkaline), the article points out that soda is a 2 (acidic) which frightens me, and water is 7. I know that Perfect Water has "Enhanced pH" and is alkaline, I would be interested to find out what the actual pH is.
I also have a significant "liking" for chipotle, and I usually get cheese and sour cream, which I see promotes an acidic stomach. Two items on the alkaline list though are guacamole and lime, I was surprised at lime, neat huh. Next time I eat a salad bowl there I will probably go for a guac and lime as opposed to the cheeses.
